Learn what worked before we were told what was going to work.<br><br>A 4 x 4 ft in-ground hugelkultur mound garden, built in your yard by The French Flat out of your own trees.<br><br>THERE IS NO BOX, AND THERE IS NO DUMP RUN. We open eighteen inches of ground. We cut back your own overgrown trees and lay that wood into the hole. Then the clay that came out goes straight back in - broken up, blended with compost and packed around the wood - and whatever the mound cannot hold becomes the berm beside it.<br><br>OPEN EIGHTEEN INCHES OF GROUND. MOUND THIRTY-SIX INCHES UP. EVERYTHING THAT COMES OUT GOES BACK IN.<br>Four and a half feet of working profile, three feet of it above ground. No walls, no corners, nothing to replace in eight years - there is nothing above ground but soil.<br><br>NOTHING LEAVES. NOTHING NEW.<br>Not one wheelbarrow goes off your property. The clay we dig out goes straight back in - broken up, screened, blended with compost and packed around the wood. What the mound cannot hold becomes the berm and swale beside it. Summertime "Plein Air" Camp

We've added some August days "en plein air" (outdoor) painting on Tues (ages 10-14), Weds and Thurs (ages 6-14). Either mornings (9:00-noon) or T(w)een Tuesdays (5:00-7:30 PM).<br><br>We'll meet at our "studio" in Central Park, NE Denver. We combine our back patio garden, our front porch, and our idyllic grassy courtyard (and we're renovating our indoor studio, and use our dining room table as needed). We begin with "thumbnail sketches", learning gesture drawing. <br><br>We'll take a nature walk to learn about landscape art, and return to the studio to make a piece out of graphite, pastels, watercolor, and more (all materials included). <br><br>A light refreshment with lavender lemonade and seasonal fruit are provided. For evening classes, we'll include pizza, fruit, veggies and dessert. We can accommodate any dietary needs. While indoors, we do have two cats and a dog, but will put them upstairs during the lessons. We have two pets, but they'll be locked away.<br><br>Just added T(w)een class for ages 10-14 on Tuesday, 7/21 <br><br>Each class has min of two students/max of six. Welcome to our "atelier", where DPS art teacher of 12 years, Keri Deixler instructs and 75 minutes of focused, private (or small group) art lessons at your home, our home/garden studio, or at another location (library, Stanley Marketplace, at a park...).<br>We'll focus on basic techniques in drawing, painting, and hand molding. Also available: cursive and literacy tutoring. Please inquire about groups of up to 8 kids in an outdoor Central Park location! Includes all materials. Personalized Portrait

I will work through the process with you, starting with a photo that you provide, either a hard copy, text, or email. I begin by sketching, then adding acrylic paint, and finish painting with oil. When I'm close to completing your portrait, I'll send you photo updates, so that you may critique (you know the features of the person in the photo!), until we're both satisfied with the result.
