
Summertime Outdoor Small Group Art
Wednesdays, beginning in late June through July. Choose between mornings (9:00-11:00 a.m.) or evenings (6:00-8:00 p.m.) with options to add on time.
If the weather permits, we'll learn landscape drawing and painting techniques using various art media, such as watercolor, graphite, charcoal and more (included).
We'll meet at our home studio, "The French Flat" in NE Denver and walk down to the greenway to draw, paint and more!

Supplies and a light refreshment provided.
Bring a hat (or wear sunscreen--it cools off after 6:00, insect lotion if needed, and a water bottle. Also, please bring a picnic blanket or a folding chair or beach towel to use on the grass.
For each evening, there must be a minimum of two students/maximum of 6
Led by instructor, Keri Deixler, who is a Central Park mom, artist, and Denver Public Schools visual arts teacher.
Only two-twelve students in each class (will have 2nd instructor with more than six), we will continue to keep a safe distance. We provide each child with sanitized supplies for the lesson du jour--and something to take home!
We will send you the location of the class for which you sign up. The locations include:
- Central Park--near water fountain/playground or near the pond on Central Park Blvd/Beeler Street.
- Autumn Park
-Central Park Town Center near Anthony's Pizza in the plaza
- The French Flat (our home studio, if weather doesn't cooperate).

Each eve, we’ll meet in a different Central park spot, take a brief nature walk, and then delve into composition, perspective, line and value. I’ll walk back and forth and give guidance, while they develop independence with their own inspiration, with supplies provided (some to take home). The artistic adventure will culminate with outdoor play time (and usually when it comes to nature, it’s always exciting to see wildlife too!

We’ll explore supplies from graphite to charcoal to watercolor and pen and ink on fun papers, panels out of wood and cardboard, as well as canvas. We won’t share supplies back and forth, but instead will have each child be given her/his very own art pouches carrying supplies. They will be responsible for keeping them in pouch, and I will wipe down bags/keep in a bag for each class.
$38 per child/per day or 4 weeks for $125; Tuesdays: tweens 'n teens; Weds/Thurs: 6-12-years-old; includes supplies (some to take home). Refreshments will be served.
BYO chair or blanket, drink and picnic if you'd like! Scholarships available.
